Kelly @ GenCon SoCal

Wednesday, October 11th, 2006

I’ll be heading next month to GenCon SoCal. There will be live art demos and signing of PoxNora trading cards! I’ll only be there for the first half, so Friday onward you’ll have to settle for the other Octopi artists ;P

The next PoxNora expansion comes out in a few weeks. I got to play with the new stuff today and it’s looking awesome. The new art and animations are a big step up from the initial run. The next expansion is shaping up to be even more fun… lots of new abilities and tactics appearing in the new guys. I can hardly wait to show off all this stuff! Folks who drop by the Octopi table at GenCon will get a sneak peak for sure. Look for me there!

New design!

Welcome to the new and improved Fernblossom!

I apologize for changing up all the webpages and messing up everyone’s links. The old site evolved over the years into a sprawling mess. I decided to re-organize and simplify, using a format that’s easier for me to update. Now I can (hopefullY!) update more than a couple times a year.

New stuff:
I updated the gallery with new art, and added a ton of sketches in their own category. The gallery is now PG-13, so beware of boobies. Really old art is gone for good!

Tutorials got some updates and fresh material. The pencil-inking tutorial is one I posted last year on Conceptart.org. PS shading with layers was on Deviantart. The anthro section will get more material soon, but right now it has a brand new demo on drawing heads. The booklist and link list have been revised and updated.

Comics is a new section. I added links to my current project, Roza and the Horse Prince, as well as the recently-completed Good Cheese.

In Games I got rid of the really really old flash paperdolls, and replaced them with the newer Good Cheese edition. There’s also an old wacky toy called ‘The Fatkitty Fun Kit’ that’s up there now. Wallpapers/desktop images are now listed under Games.
